Van Cleef & Arpels Ladies Skeleton
Van Cleef & Arpels Ladies Skeleton
EDIT: We have discovered that this watch uses the Frédéric Piguet Cal. 21 movement, a movement made in 1925-present, and held the record for being the thinnest movement in the world for 21 years. Truly a fabulous movement, fitting for this unbelievable watch.
This is one of the most unique watches I have ever seen. From world renowned jewelry and watchmaker Van Cleef & Arpels, this watch is sure to turn heads. It features a fully skeletonized manual wind movement, housed inside of a solid gold case with an outer ring made from Mother of Pearl. The case is ever so slightly octagonal shaped, giving off Gerald Genta vibes. The crown also has a pearl cabochon to tie it all together. To match the beautifully hand engraved golden bridges of the movement, Van Cleef paired this watch to a black/gray lizard strap that adds to the detail of the watch. Coming in at 25mm and just a hair over 4mm thick, this ultra thin watch will fit any small wrist size perfectly.
This watch is in fantastic condition, with only some small marks of wear on the back side of the case where the gold is exposed. The strap has aged a bit and shows some discoloration, and the lugs seem to have been slightly bent out of place due to them connecting to the watch at the center.
