Longines Grand Prize
Longines Grand Prize
This Longines is a rare version of the "Grand Prize" having a stainless steel case with an automatic movement with a center seconds hand and a date. It houses the Longines cal. 342, a fantastic movement used in the Admiral collection in the early 60s. The sunburst dial uniquely is centered around the Longines logo, unlike most others which are centered in the hand stack. Speaking of the hands, this watch has syringe hands which contrast well with the angular applied indices. This watch looks fairly simple on the surface, but when you dive into the details it doesn't disappoint. If Longines were to take a page out of King Seiko's book, this watch would be the result.
This example is in good condition, with a perfect crystal, surface level scratches on the unpolished case, and no major discoloration to the dial.
