Cartier Tank Vermeil Lapis Dial

The Cartier Tank is one of the most iconic watches of all time. Designed by Louis-Francois Cartier in 1918, the Tank was inspired by military tanks of the time, a stark contrast to the dressy nature of the watch.

This example of the Must de Tank is part of the Vermeil line, a line known for its 925 Sterling Silver case plated in yellow gold. This example also has an excellent Lapis Lazuli dial with a gold flake that shimmers in the light. 

Overall condition is decently worn. The gold plating has faded on the lugs and has scratches along the rest of the watch. The Lapis dial has hairline cracks in the stone, although is still in good condition. The manual wind movement has been serviced and is keeping time. The watch is paired to an aftermarket lizard grain strap with a Cartier style buckle.

With its 23mm (incl. crown) size, this is a beautiful entry level watch for someone looking for a small vintage piece.
